It all started in 2018 with a quest to conquer new frontiers in the Arabic natural language processing (NLP). We were driven by a singular passion — to create the first Arabic personal assistant, like Siri and Alexa, but with a deep understanding of the nuances of the Arabic language.
In 2019
In 2019, that vision became a reality as we launched the pioneering Arabic personal assistant in San Francisco, marking a milestone in AI technology.
We started working on open domain Arabic AI, where we offered chatbot solutions that broke new ground. However, our collaboration with a leading bank to develop a financial assistant was a revelation. We encountered the intricate complexities that separate a true AI assistant from a conventional chatbot — it was a leap from simple interactions to engaging in sophisticated financial dialogues.
In 2021
In 2021, we made a strategic decision, to focus on the financial sector, dedicating our efforts to overcoming the unique technological challenges it presented. Our aim was clear: to craft the finest AI financial assistant on the market, one that would not just meet but exceed the expectations of the industry, not only in Arabic but in many more languages.
We emerged with a refined focus, channeling our expertise into developing a platform that understood the financial landscape intimately. Our technology was no longer just a tool; it became a trusted advisor, a confidant capable of navigating the complexities of finance with ease and precision.
In 2023
In 2023, we launched with a partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank the first Arabic AI financial assistant that is capable of handling complex financial transactions, seamlessly and with a very high accuracy.
Today
Today, Salma AI stands at the intersection of advanced NLP and the specialized needs of the financial industry. As we continue to innovate and lead, our story is far from over.
